Haul Time!

Hiya beloved beauty babes!

This weeks post is a drugstore haul, I got so many goodies that I can’t wait to rave about. I also got some high-end products that I’ll talk about too.  So buckle up and prepare for a swatch filled good time.

So all the stuff pictured below I got from Priceline Pharmacy. It is mostly from the brand Essence which I have never used before, but there is one NYX item too.  I got all of this for around $40. Essence is cruelty free and a lot of their stuff is vegan too.  All of these products so far have been really great and I have had no duds at all!

First great find was the Essence ‘The Gel’ nail polish range. I was super sceptical about how these nail polishes would wear and last but I thought why not give them a go. At $3.25 AUD each it’s no great loss if it doesn’t work out. But….. They are amazing! The best drugstore and cruelty free polish I have ever tried. The colour range is good, and they last and last. I was so blown away, and from now on that is straight where I will go if I need a colour for a special event. Another great find was the Nail Polish Corrector Pen. I have only seen this once before in the Melbourne 3ina store, and was so happy to find this one at Priceline! It’s great for fixing up edges and little mistakes we all make with nail polish.

Next is some eyeshadow, I got 2 singles and one quattro (4 in 1).  These were also a bargain with the single shadows coming in at $3.25 and the quattro at $6.15.  The pigmentation and lasting power on these eyeshadows far exceeded my expectations.  Everything is rich and creamy and not powdery like some drugstore brands.  Here are some swatches below to give you guys and idea of intensity.

I couldn’t go past these 2 brow products. I’ve seen Shaaanxo use clear brow gel and tinted brow gel so many times but have never really gotten into the trend.

I bought the clear Lash and Brow Gel ($4.10) mostly for my ‘no makeup’ makeup days, and to tame crazy brow hairs.  But when I seen the Make Me Brow by Essence ($5.10), it bore a striking resemblance to Benefit’s Gimme Brow ($39), which Shaaanxo uses a lot!  I got a shade lighter that my brow colour so that I could create a highlight effect to give my brows more depth.  And I think it works wonders! It is great for days when I don’t want to fill in my brows but do want that little bit extra.

The last item from Priceline was the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the shade Cottage Cheese ($9.95).  Ps: what a horrible name for an eye product (yuck). It is super pigmented and great for inner corner brightening. Safe to say it was a great buy and a staple that I’m glad I now have. That’s all the goodies I got from Priceline, but then I did also stop into Target and Mecca Maxima to pick up some lipsticks I needed to create a spring look.

I got Chi Chi’s cream lipstick in Socialite, here are some pics below!

And from Mecca I got Ice Queen from the brand Lipstick Queen. I needed these two together to make a shiny spring lip look. I love the shiny transforming nature of Ice Queen, even on its own it dazzles.

Here is what the two look like together.

The look I created for a very special event is going up as it’s own blog post tutorial tomorrow!  I used a tonne of the items I purchased from Priceline in the tutorial. And of course I use the two lippys mentioned above. I’ll also give you an insight into my outfit, shoes, and nails for the day! So stay tuned for the special post tomorrow!
