Everyday Makeup Look, Ft. Tartelette In Bloom Palette

Hello beauties!

Welcome to this week’s blog post. Today I’ll be sharing with you my walk through of a simple everyday makeup look. Easy on the eye and easy to create! I also want to ramble a bit about my new Tarte palette the Tartelette In Bloom. It is perfect for everyday looks, so it’s the one I used for this tutorial of course. Also there is a video tutorial in here too!!

I want to start with a little info about the eyeshadow palette. It is by Tarte and is the second version of the Tartelette series. It’s specific name is, In Bloom. It has some amazing packaging. So bright and pretty, it suits its name to a tee. It was $69 at Sephora and comes with 12 shades. Below is a quick swatch of the eyeshadows.

The pigmentation is great on these and they have a very creamy, rich texture. The 3 shimmer shades are not chunky at all, and stay on the eyelid well with little to no fallout.

If not here is my ‘How-To’ for this look.

Starting with primer all over, using the Illamasqua Hydra Veil. Next I’m going to conceal some nasty pimples I have (thanks pregnancy) on my chin and jawline. I’m using the L.A Girl Pro conceal in the shade Green GC992. I’m using the green colour to counteract the redness of these icky spots. Next I’ll go over everything with foundation, using my Too Faced Born This Way in the shade Vanilla. I love this stuff for everyday coverage. As you can see, my freckles still poke through!

Next is a little concealer to highlight. I used the Urban Decay Naked Skin in Fair Neutral. This is my all time favourite concealer and I just had to replace my empty one. To set my face I used Urban Decay De-Slick in the compact and my old faithful the 3INA The Compact Powder in shade 203. We can’t forget to contour, I used my Illamasqua Sculpting Palette and only the shade Heroine for the hollows of my cheeks, and jawline.

For blush I used another fave, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting in Mood Exposure all over the cheek and up to the hairline. Then for a little extra I used my Milani Powder Blush in Tea Rose Just on the apples of my cheeks. To bring a little colour back into my face I used the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil matte bronzer in Medium/Deep. Next comes highlighter! Again one of my ride or die products the Too Faced Candlelight Glow in Rosy Glow. I used this on my nose, tops of my cheeks and cupids bow.

Now onto the exciting part! The Eyes, starting with eyebrows. I used my E.L.F Eyebrow Kit in Medium (wax) to draw out my brows. Then I used the powder side of the kit and filled any sparse areas. I used the NYX Wonder Pencil in Light  to crisp up under my brows. Then going back in with the Essence Clear Brow Gel to hold everything in place. It’s like hairspray for your eyebrows.

Time for the simple eyeshadow look. I used my new and shiny Tarte Palette. It is the Tartelette In Bloom and I’ll be using the shades; Charmer, Flower Child, Funny Girl, Sweetheart and Rebel. First I took Charmer (1) all over the lid, right up to my brow bone. Next I used Flower Child (2) as my transition colour, and put it in my crease and blended a lot! After that I came in with Sweetheart (3) and rebel (4)  to darken up the outer edges and outer V. Lastly I used Funny Girl on the lid and inner corners. Then with a clean brush blended it all together some more. I also went under my eye, very close to my lashes with a small amount of Sweetheart (3) to complete the look.

For finishing touches I applied a coat (or two) of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Followed by a quick swatch of Chi Chi’s Sexbomb lipstick. And lastly Urban Decay setting spray to keep me fresh all day!

Check out my video for more visuals on this look! Leave some love if you like the tutorial!!
